I like Henry, I'd like to think this was a simple mistake of some kind. There's even a part of me that almost hopes this might all be some kind of sad miscommunication between whoever was in command down at Shelby Park and their opposite numbers at Border Patrol. But if I gotta give someone the benefit of the doubt, it ain't the spokes-folk at DHS HQ. Sorry, no. That's a pack of shovelheads right there, so busy shoveling you-know-what, you can't take anything at face value anymore.
What's funny is, the last one of those he had on staff, wound up running against him the last two times and almost winning. Well, she may not've had purple hair, but yeah.
It could be that the Texas Military Dept. is totally wrong here or has the sequence of events all screwed up. That's entirely possible. But if folks are asking me to pick between their version of events and the corrupt individuals running things out of the DHS Central office.... well.... obviously, I am biased. So there's that. But at the end of the day-- lots of folks have drowned in that river. That's what happens when you have a humanitarian crisis like this. And the ultimate blame lies where it lies.

Sometimes trouble is earned by leaving things to the purple-haired, recent Seven-Sisters graduate on staff.

Stick with me. I clearly sense these things through the ozone.
Well, at least we know it happened recently and wasn't an incident from several months ago being used for politicking.
